Israel and Nicaragua to renew diplomatic relations

    The governments of the State of Israel and Nicaragua have decided to re-establish diplomatic relations between the two countries.
     
    The two countries shared friendly relations and cooperation across a wide range of fields such as agriculture, health and education, until ties were suspended in 2010. 
     
    Both governments view very favorably the re-establishment of ties with the aim of advancing joint cooperation for the advancement of both nations and to contribute to the struggle to achieve peace in the world.
    The renewal of relations will take effect with the publication of this joint statement in the two capitals.
