With a large crowd, music dancing and a festive atmosphere in Union Square, Consul General David lit the first Hanukkah candles on the Bill Graham Menorah with Lori Starr of the Contemporary Jewish Museum on Wednesday night.
This year, for the first time since 1888, Hanukkah coincides with Thanksgiving.
