From Oakland to Jerusalem

    ​To honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, we partnered with Oakland's Temple Sinai and Allen Temple Baptist Church to hear Dr. Clarence B. Jones speak about the struggles for freedom and equality in the African American and Jewish communities, and Israel's existence as the fulfillment of the Jewish dream. Dr. Jones also spoke about how Jewish Americans stood side by side with African Americans during the American Civil Rights Movement. He emphasized the continued need to stand together in the face of all modern-day injustices.
