The Israeli Consulate General joined the San Francisco official pride festival in the Civic Center Plaza, on Sunday, June 26th 2016 with its booth showcasing Israeli LGBTQ life, Tel Aviv pride, and work of various organizations devoted to supporting LGBTQ causes in Israel.
On a sunny San Francisco day, the Consulate’s booth welcomed hundreds of visitors with Israeli music. People danced down the street to the sounds of Israeli artists and the positive energy was palpable.
Participants had the opportunity to pose for photos in the photo booth, drink slushies, and learn about pride in Israel. Attendants also had a chance to win a free roundtrip flight to Israel.
The booth’s guests walked away with Israeli-branded goodies and photos commemorating their experience. The spirit of Israeli pride could be felt by all of the visitors.
In light of the events in Orlando, the Consulate was especially proud to show our solidarity with the LGBTQ community.
