On the day when all ears were awaiting with high expectation the results of the 2012 US Presidential Election, Consul General Dr. Andy David touched down in Alaska as part of his first official visit to the region. He conducted a series of meetings, interviews and tours which illustrate the strength of the U.S-Israel relationship, even in the state known as the Last Frontier.

On Thursday 8th November, Dr. David met with Governer Sean Parnell to talk about Alaska and Israel's continued cooperation and mutual interests.
Later that Day, Consul General David spoke at the University of Alaska in Anchorage to a large crowd of students and members of the community. His talk, moderated by Dr. Shannon, focused on the current turmoil in the Middle East.
This morning, Israel’s new Consul General to the Pacific Northwest gave an exclusive interview to veteran Alaska Public Radio Network reporter Ellen Lockyer, which will be available to the public shortly.
Dr. David will be writing about his Alaska experience in the Alaska Magazine in 2013, so watch this space!
