The Israeli company Quadro Mine Clearance, and the San Rafael based organization Mines to Vines, spearheaded by Heidi Kuhn, combined to de-mine Hussan Village in April, as part of great efforts to clear landmines from Israel. In 2011, the Knesset passed groundbreaking legislation to establish the first national humanitarian mine action authority, and its labours are being rewarded with the support of a Bay Area organization dedicated to international de-mining projects.
