The Embassy of Israel hosted a first of its kind, Agricultural event dubbed AgriNow2020, on Wednesday 5 August 2020.The event that was broadcast virtually, due to COVID-19 restrictions, on our Facebook Page ‘IsraelinKenya’ showcased projects from graduates, who attended the 11- month training in Israel, a six-year cooperation between Israel and Kenya on agriculture and food security.
AgriNow2020 was graced by C.S for Agriculture, Hon. Peter Munya, the Chairperson of Agriculture Committee in the Council of Governors, H.E. Muthomi Njuki,
“AgriNow2020, presents a platform to engage and expose these young agriprenuers to the agricultural space, giving them the necessary networks to boost their productivity after acquiring knowledge in Israel; This cooperation in food security is very important to us especially now during the covid-19 pandemic” said Amb. Oded Joseph.
The students presented to government agencies, financial institutions, and Israeli agriculture companies their Start-Up agri-projects so that all stakeholders are able to support these ideas and elevate them to more profitable ventures.
