11-Month Agri-training Internship Program.
The State of Israel through MASHAV has signed agreements with the governments of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi to benefit students in the fields of agriculture through linkages to Institutions and experts in Israel. This partnership aims at equipping young people with modern agricultural skills through learning by doing in Israel for 11-months.
The cost for tuition and accommodation is catered for, while the student pays their flight ticket. While in Israel, students study and also work in farms which earns them a stipend.
This equips them with skills to become productive and competitive through transfer of knowledge and technology. They also interact and network with Israeli companies who can become potential investors / mentors once the students actualize their agri-business ideas. The 11 month agri-training is a paid internship.
