    2. Passport Renewal/Extension.

All Israeli citizens abroad, both minors and adults, must carry a valid Israeli passport or laissez-passer/travel document with them at all times. The passports and laissez passer/travel documents issued by the State of Israel to its citizens are the property of the State of Israel and should be carefully safeguarded.

Note that Israeli citizens are required by law always to enter and exit Israel with an Israeli passport or laissez-passer/travel document.

To determine which application form is most relevant to you, locate your passport issued date.  If the date is over 5 years old, you need to apply for a new passport.  You can apply for a new passport between 6 to 12 months prior to expiration.  If it was issued less than 5 years from today's date, then you can apply for a passport extension.

    Please find all information here.

    3. Military Deferral

The applicant must be at least 16 1/2 years of age. Please note that this process should be completed before the applicant turns 18 years old.
