The WSCI, to which we attach national importance, is a project with vast potential for the State of Israel, initiated and being led by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in
cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Of fice, Ministry of Science & Technology, the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and Nobel Laureate Prof. Roger Kornberg.
The WSCI is unique and unprecedented in its scope and potential - considering the number of laureates and the number of brilliant young scientists from around the
globe - the future generation of world scientists. It is designed as an annual event, aiming to become the flagship of Israeli Public Diplomacy worldwide. As such, it will serve an important role contributing
to a positive Israeli exposure and image and as an effective countermeasure to the vocal voices and actions of "BDS" and academic-boycotts against Israel.
