Boasting an impressive roster of classical music’s top performers in its first two seasons, the North Shore Chamber Music Festival has been called an “inspired summer event not to be missed” for Chicagoans and travelers alike.  The creation of acclaimed violinist Vadim Gluzman, and his wife, concert pianist Angela Yoffe (Northbook residents), the annual festival boasts a prestigious roster of classical music’s top performers, all old friends, who come together for three sensational days of music making.  The Third Annual festival will feature an exclusive jazz piano tribute to Oscar Peterson by world renowned conductor Andrew Litton, new discoveries like Arvo Pärt’s “Mozart-Adagio” and Michael Daugherty’s “Diamond in the Rough,” a lively forum on Chicago’s musical heritage by former Chicago Symphony President and personality Henry Fogel, and a free concert showcasing emerging young performers from the Betty Haag Academy and the Music Institute of Chicago. 2013 artists include festival founders violinist Vadim Gluzman and his wife, pianist Angela Yoffe, pianist William Wolfram, violist Atar Arad, cellist Ani Aznavoorian, bassist Timothy Cobb, and clarinetist Ilya Shterenberg.  Performances are at the Village Presbyterian Church, 1300 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL, located only 2 minutes from Chicago's Northbrook Metro station. Visit www.nscmf.org.
