Kenya Vice President Visits Israel

    Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka concludes his three-day official visit of Israel, during which he held meetings with President Shimon Peres, the Deputy Prime Minister Avidgor Liberman as well as Reuven Rivlin, Speaker of the Knesset.
     
    The VP who is leading a high powered delegation comprising of Members of Parliament and senior government officials are in Israel to strengthen cordial relations existing between the two Nations.
     
    The bilateral talks with Israeli government centred around assisting Kenya benefit from Israel’s prowess in water harvesting, management and irrigation technology, as well as value addition to agricultural products especially in horticulture.
     
    The visit focused on meetings and tours of water harvesting plants, irrigation technology sites, and a visit to Afi Milk, the largest dairy production company in Israel; the Israeli cows yield on average 12,000 liters of milk a year, which is the highest in the world. The delegation also toured a Kibbutz farm to familiarise themselves with the high technology used in irrigation, horticulture and dairy production.
