The forum was held in Dar-Es-Salaam with the aim of linking Israeli and Tanzanian businesses and projects from both the private and public sectors with the intention of establishing economic partnerships for development.
The Second Tanzania-Israel Business and Investment Forum (TIBIF), held in Dar-Es-Salaam (May 18-19), was organized by the Israeli Embassy in Nairobi in cooperation with MASHAV, the Economic Department at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Israel Export Institute together with the Kingdom Leadership Network Tanzania (KLNT) in partnership with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) and Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) under the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Forum aims to link Israel and Tanzanian businesses and projects from both the private and public sectors with the intention of pushing for commercial ties between the two countries and maintaining the steady development momentum of bilateral ties through economic partnerships.
Head of MASHAV, Ambassador Gil Haskel, the Forum’s keynote speaker, said in his address: “I believe that Tanzania’s private sector is a tool for making possible the transfer of technological know-how from Israel to Tanzania.”
The forum provided a platform for networking and one-to-one business and development partnership negotiations, and counted with the attendance of prominent businessmen and women, entrepreneurs and leaders from Africa.
