Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Kenya, to witness and celebrate the inauguration of President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was sworn in to office for a 2nd term, on November 28th, 2017.
“We believe I Africa. We believe in Kenya. We believe in our friendship,“ said PM Netanyahu.
The prime minister also had the opportunity to meet with other visiting African heads of nations including Uganda's Yoweri Museveni, South Sudan’s Salva Kiir, Rwanda’s Paul Kagame, Zambia’s Edgar Lungu, Botswana’s Ian Khama and Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
PM Netanyahu: "Four African countries have opened representation offices in Israel in the past two years. I hope that by the end of the year I will be able to announce the opening of a new Israeli embassy in an African country and this is not the end of it."
“This is my third visit to Africa in 18 months, and my second visit here in Kenya. We believe in the future of Africa. We love Africa and I would like very much, not only to cooperate on individual basis but also with each of your countries. We can help build together a better future for Africa. This is our goal and I thank you, I thank you all for your great friendship, thank you, Uhuru for your leadership, thank you for your friendship, and as we say for ages, next year in Jerusalem, you are all invited." concluded the Prime Minister.
