The State of Israel, for the first time ever, participated in the Nairobi International Trade Fair – ASK Show that ran from 30th Sept – 6th Oct. 2013. The Embassy had a pavilion that housed several companies in the agricultural sectors from Israel which exhibited latest technologies and innovations in the agricultural sector.

Thousands of Visitors who came to the Israeli Pavilion witnessed firsthand, some of Israel's leading companies in agriculture and got exposed to some of the cutting edge Agro-Technological solutions for Kenya's challenges.
Among the visitors to the Israeli Pavilion was His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta who had a chance to be taken round by the Ambassador of Israel, H.E Gil Haskel.

The Israeli pavilion won the class 9 award for “Best Foreign Government Stand” and was a given a trophy and certificate for the award. The trophy was presented by H.E President and received by the Deputy Ambassador of Israel – Mr. Yaki Lopez.

Nairobi International Trade Fair is the largest Trade Fair in Kenya and the East African Region. It is a 7-day event that runs between Monday and Sunday of late September and early October every year. Nairobi International Trade Fair is situated off Ngong Road at Jamhuri Park, in an indigenous forest. It covers an area of 109 hectares, 97 enclosed for exhibition. During the 2012 Trade Fair, over 660,000 local and foreign delegates visited the international exhibition stands.
