    ​Weekly News Digest – November 22, 2021.
     
    1. Building stronger partnerships as our MASHAV development expert, Mr. Eitan Hatzon introduces Israeli NGO Fair Planet to our friends in Tanzania. This was during a field visit to Morogoro with reps from Sokoine University of AgricultureTanzania Agricultural Development Bank and UNDP Tanzania for an agricultural cooperation project.

    The goal is top ensure that Tanzanian students who receive training on modern agriculture in Israel & Tanzania get access to land / financing to establish agri-businesses upon their return; utilizing Israeli agri-tech.  SUGECO Tanzania have success stories which we hope to emulate!

    2. Following the memorial day for former PM of Israel Yitzhak Rabin, the Embassy of Israel in Kenya staff had a virtual tour at The Yitzhak Rabin Center.

    3. Congratulations to Phoebe Okowa for making history as the first African woman after being elected to the International Law Commission. She will serve as a member of the ILC United Nations from 2023 to 2027.
