Israel 65th Independence Day Celebration

    The Embassy of Israel in Nairobi hosted its annual Independence Day Celebration, in honor of Israel's 65 years of Independence on Tuesday 07th May 2013, at Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) Tsavo Room.
    This year’s celebrations were unique because it involved celebrating 50 years of Kenya-Israel relations which started way back in 1963.
    H.E. Gil Haskel hosted hundreds of senior government officials, top businessmen in the country, members of the diplomatic corps, the Jewish community and Israelis, and numerous friends of Israel to this auspicious occasion.

     The anniversary and Jubilee celebrations incorporated an amazing Fashion Show extravaganza put together by top Israeli fashion designers and the Association of Fashion Designer of Kenya. Kenyan models showcased Israeli fashion and Kenyan unique fashion.
    Some of the designers who participated include Sally Karago, Peggy Onyango, Evelyn Odongo, Elizabeth Njoroge, Kedemsasson and Careen Asamba, Oved Cohen also showcased their designs.

    Israel marked 65 years of many achievements, some of which are being replicated here in Kenya, in the areas of agriculture & irrigation, water technology, medical technology, fish farming, in the construction of roads and affordable housing, just to mention but a few.
     
    As a leader in innovation, Israel has over the past 65 years led the drive for ground breaking technologies in various fields of medicine, agriculture, ICT, energy, security and many others. Israel has also managed to attract world leading companies to establish their R&D centers in its territory.
