    This year, The State of Israel is marking 50 years of its relations with the Republic of Kenya. Israel and Kenya share historical ties, with Israel being amongst the first countries to recognize Kenya as an independent Republic and hence established diplomatic relations with her, being   one of the first countries to open a diplomatic mission in Nairobi in 1963. 
     
    On Monday, June 10th, 2013, H.E. Gil Haskel was hosted on Citizen TV Power Breakfast show. In the show, the Ambassador gave a brief on key collaborations which have been established over the years in many spheres: in the aquaculture sector, in the education sector, agriculture & horticulture, security, and health, and many more. The Ambassador also highlighted some of the events planned throughout 2013 to commemorate this historic year.
