Amb. Oded Joseph presented front-line medical equipment to Kenyatta National Hospital Management on Tuesday 23 June 2020.

The donation, which includes; Medical Gowns, Gun Thermometers, and Face Masks will boost the hospital’s efforts in mitigating the effects of the Corona Virus, and especially to frontline medical officials.
“The Embassy has had a long standing relation with Kenyatta National Hospital, especially Ward 1E, that treats children suffering from cancer, and 3D, also a pediatric Ward, so our assistance is to a friend and an ally of many years,” says Amb. Oded.
The Donation was received by the Hospital's CEO Dr. E. Kamuri, and Board Member Dr. Stanley Kamau.
The Embassy and MASHAV, are also collaborating with the State Department for Housing, to support the Kazi Mtaani/National Hygiene Programme, by the provision of social relief through job opportunities and hygiene facilitation to help contain the Covid-19 pandemic in informal urban settlements. The program targets mainly youth who have been jobless or rendered jobless by the pandemic in an effort to stimulate local economy. This is part of the Embassy’s other initiatives against COVID-19.
