    10 Mar 2020
In addition to decisions implemented previously, as of Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 20:00, all foreign nationals arriving in Israel will be required to comply with home quarantine conditions for 14 days from their date of entry into Israel.
(Communicated by the MFA Consular Division)

As of Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 20:00 local time, all foreign nationals arriving to the State of Israel will be required to comply with home quarantine conditions for a period of 14 days from their date of entry into Israel. Hotels and dormitories are not considered 'home quarantine.'

This provision extends limitations implemented earlier with regard to people arriving from various countries.

The above mentioned applies to nationals of Israel, their spouses and children and to all who reside in Israel including accredited diplomats to the State of Israel.

Diplomats accredited to the State of Israel holding diplomatic I.D. issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be permitted to enter Israel subject to their meeting the demands of the Ministry of Health and entering home quarantine for 14 days from their arrival in Israel.

Diplomats who are planned to take up positions in Israel must coordinate their arrival with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Israel in the relevant country.

Visitors from all countries who wish to visit Israel will be required to state the purpose of their visit and state their place of home quarantine in Israel by notifying by email the relevant Consular Department of the relevant Israeli embassy in the source country five working days prior to their planned date of arrival.

After approval of the request by the relevant parties in Israel, a confirmation letter will be sent to the visitors confirming boarding of their flight to Israel. It should be noted that in any case of doubt, the decision whether or not to permit entry into Israel lies with the Border Control official and with the Population and Immigration Authority

The Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all foreign embassies and consulates in Israel and all foreigners staying in Israel to be current on the publications of the Israeli Ministry of Health and of the Population and Immigration Authority and Border Control, as published in the media and on their websites.
