The State of Israel has decided to collaborate with Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resoures, and support in tree planting and re-afforestation in Kenya, a culture that Israel greatly values and implements successfully, and will be delighted to share experience.
This exercise will be part of marking Israel's 69th Anniversary Independence which is on May 2, 2017 this year.
The launch of this inaugural Tree Planting Day is Friday April 21, 2017 at the Nyambari Block in Uplands where all invited guests and partners will plant a tree.
Three blocks situated closely to one another that the Embassy will start off with are;
- Lari block in the Uplands area (3.5 kilometers off the Nairobi-Naivasha-Nakuru highway),
- Nyambari block (situated at Nyambari centre on the Nairobi-Naivasha-Nakuru highway) and
- Nyamweru Block (6 kilometers off Kimende Centre on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway).
