Start Jerusalem is a global competition organized by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jerusalem Development Authority, which brings together startups from different countries to compete for the opportunity to take part in a 5-day innovation experience in Jerusalem, capital city of Israel - one of the world’s leading tech ecosystems.
This is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect and benefit from interaction with prominent local tech leaders from all over the world, interactive fireside chats and panels, specially designed how-to workshops, site visits at some cutting edge technology companies, and exclusive networking meet-ups with the city’s start-up community.
Following the success of Startup Israel and Start Tel Aviv competitions in previous years, this year the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam, in collaboration with National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC) under Ministry of Science and Technology and Business Studies and Assistance Center (BSA) called for a startup competition to find who will win the ticket to Start Jerusalem 2017, which will take place in this November.

Mr. Nadav Eschar, newly-appointed Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam said: "Israel- Vietnam cooperation in high technology and innovation is booming and this competition is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the vast cooperation of young and innovative spirit. I strongly believe that the winner, who will represents Vietnamese startups to Jerusalem will have great innovative experience, benefit and interaction from our start-up nation"
Notably, though being held in Vietnam for the fourth time, this startup competition, whose destination for the winner is Jerusalem for the very first time draws the highest attention and participation, with nearly 40 applicants. All competitors demonstrated their innovative and highly applicable business ideas, which really gave the judges a headache to select the best teams for the final round.
The final round and ceremony will take place at BKHUP, 17 Ta Quang Buu, Hanoi on Sunday 01/10. The finalists will go through a pitching round( in English)about their business plans and the winner will be determined by a jury board including representatives of the Embassy, NATEC and BSA. Also, the event will have the special participation of Mr. Tran Vu Nguyen (Bung Tran)- Executive director of Danang Incubator(DNES)and Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung – General director of BKHoldings, who will share about Israeli startup experiences and ecosystem.
The finalists of Start Jerusalem 2017 Competition in Vietnam are:
DropDeck: an intelligent platform that scores, ranks, and recommends potential fundraising companies and trustworthy investors to each other.
Finsify: a Financial Hub that enables fintech companies to work with bank, payments and financial institutions faster and more easily.
Repoto: a company virtual assistant collecting work report from the employees and summarize data of employees’ work results and productivity
Putatu: offers cashback money for online transactions in time and cost-saving manner
Abbycard: an interactive CRM solution that helps retailers to records & analyze customer data
SafeSAI: provides solutions to protect SME's Internet application from cyber-attack with affordable price.
