  •   Performance of Duo Amal in Hanoi and HCMC

    On the 4th of November 17 years ago, the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated while promoting peace between Isarel and its neighbors. As a tribute to his legacy, the Embassy of the State of Israel in Vietnam in cooperation with the National Music Academy of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music will host the piano concert of Duo Amal named "Harmony in music" at the HCMC Conservatory Concert Hall on 04/11 and Viet Culture Space-16 Le Thai To, Hanoi on 05/11/2012.
     
    Duo Amal was founded by two young talented pianists Yaron Kohlberg (Israeli) and Bishara Haroni (Palestinian) in 2008. They have performed in many countries around Europe, America and Asia with the world's leading orchestras. Their performances are highly-appreciated by experts and warmly welcomed by audiences. "Amal" in Hebrew means "hope", with their talent and friendship, Duo Amal wish to convey to the world the hope "music making at the highest level can transcend political and national differences" The performance is a part of the Embassy of Israel's efforts to strengthen its presence in HCMC. Recently, the Embassy opened its Trade Office in the city.
     
    The concert invitees are senior officials of Vietnamese government agencies diplomatic, consular agencies and international organizations in Vietnam, the media and a large number of Vietnamese students
