The Israeli Economic and Trade Mission under Israel’s Ministry of Economy is responsible for connecting, promoting and consolidating the economic and trade relation between the two countries. Its main tasks are supporting Israeli business community to find appropriate partners in Vietnam; arranging meetings and visits of Israel companies/ organizations with Vietnamese ones and providing in depth information about business opportunities and environment of Vietnamese market to Israeli companies.

The Economic and Trade mission also supports any Vietnamese companies/ organizations who want to find partners in Israel by providing relevant information and contact details. The trade mission focuses some main sectors where Israel has its most advantages, namely high-tech agriculture, high tech, water, energy,  cyber security, IT, food and beverage and education, social innovation, etc.

 Israel and Vietnam have signed several trade-related agreements as follows:

1/ Framework agreement of economic, science, technical, agriculture and trade cooperation (1996)

2/ Tourism cooperation agreement (1996)

3/ Agriculture cooperation agreement (1997)

4/ Agreement on trade and economic cooperation (8/2004)

5/ Agreement on air transport cooperation (6/2007)

6/ Financial protocol (2007).

7/ Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation.

On March 2016 both countries held the first round of negotiations towards a Vietnam- Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA)
