​At the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, H.E Mrs. Orit Noked of Israel, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, had an official visit to Israel and attend the 18th International Agricultural Exhibition (Agritech) from 15 to 16 May 2012. Accompanying the Minister was a delegation of 10 leaders and officials from the Ministry’s International Cooperation Department, Department of Animal Health, Ministry Administrative Office, Central Project Office, as well as research institutes and companies in this field.

During the visit, Minister Cao Duc Phat had official meeting with Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, H.E Mrs. Orit Noked. The two sides also signed an Agreement on Cooperation in Animal Health and quarantine. Besides, the delegation visited the 18th Agritech Exhibition.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1993, the cooperation in agriculture between Israel and Vietnam has been increasing during the last three years. The establishment the dairy demonstration farm in Ho Chi Minh City and the Joint venture of TH Milk in Nghe An province are considered the highlights in the cooperation between the two Governments as well as business to business cooperation.
 
Agritech Israel 2012, the 18th International Agricultural Technology Exhibition, is one of the world’s most important exhibitions in the field of agricultural technologies, with the participation of world’s leading enterprises, distributors, manufacturers, researchers in this area. In addition, the 18th Agritech Exhibition also attracts about 30 representatives from Vietnamese agencies and companies in this area.
