Last week, MASHAV and UNHabitat co-sponsored and organized programs and study tours in Israel with the theme " Smart city for urban planning and sustainable development " for a group of 15 top leaders from Vietnam, including Deputy Minister of Construction, chairman of Ha Tinh Province, Deputy Secretary Thanh Hoa provincial Party Committee and many other senior officials from the provinces, the Ministry of Construction and the Central Economic Committee.
The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Uri Ariel, Minister of Construction and Housing. Israeli Foreign Ministry also treated the delegation with highest consideration and supported them to exchange experiences with other agencies working in the field of advanced green city development in Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. During the trip,the delegation also visited many models of sustainable development, such as metro area main water treatment Shafdan, Heschel Sustainabilty Center, Woosh Water systems Ltd.
The delegation are really impressed with the professionalism, ideology and knowledge that the Israeli authorities and companies are applying and hope to apply these models in the construction of green urban development and sustainability in Vietnam in the coming time.
