More cooperation in the South

    In 2012, the Economic and Trade office, Embassy of Israel will conduct series of activities designed to expand trade and investment to Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces.

    Within this framework, Prof. Yoram Kapulnik - Director of Israel’s Agriculture Research Center (Vocalni Center) had a working visit in Ho Chi Minh City and Dak Lak province from 21 to 22 March 2012. The visit, coordinated by Israel’s Ministry of Trade and Labor and the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam, aiming to promote cooperation and to introduce the coming Agritech Exhibition 2012 in Israel. Earlier this month, the Embassy also organized a Seminar on Water technology in Ho Chi Minh City.



    Prof. Kapulnik had meetings in Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on 22/3 to present Israel’s achievements and innovations in agriculture. He also had meetings at the People’s Committee of Dak Lak province and then visit Trung Nguyen Group on 21/3.

    In addition, Prof. Kapulnik held talks with the Rector of Open University in Ho Chi Minh City and the leader of the South Institute of Agricultural Science (on 22/3).

  • About Prof. Kapulnik

    ​Besides managing Vocalni center, Prof. Yoram Kapulnik is also the Vice chairman and Management committee Member of Action 870 - "From production to application of carbuncular mycorrhiza fungi in agricultural systems: a multidisciplinary approach" of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), has held senior positions in many scientific and agricultural committees.

    He has received international and national competitive grants and awards for his researches.
     
    Prof. Kapulnik also has 25 years of extensive academic experience, as a lecturer and author/co-author of related publications.
