The Ho Chi Minh Museum (Vietnam) and the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute (Israel) signed a cooperation agreement in an online ceremony simultaneously at both organizations on 8 September 2020. The Museum and the Institute accordingly will cooperate on research, cultural, scientific projects in museology, delegation exchange, and most importantly an exhibition exchange of the two great leaders of both nations. The two sides will coordinate to host one exhibition at Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute and one exhibition at Ho Chi Minh Museum in 2021, as well as exchanging delegations on museum curacy, experience, and exhibition organizing.
In Hanoi, the signing ceremony will be attended by the Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Vu Manh Ha, Ambassador of Israel in Vietnam, H.E. Nadav Eshcar, and representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism. In Israel, the ceremony will be attended by the Director of Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute, Eitan Donyets, Ambassador of Vietnam in Israel, H.E. Do Minh Hung, and other officials.
The agreement between the two institutions will open a door to many opportunities for respective countries’ public to further approach President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam and Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion of Israel. The two leaders were both the founding fathers of their countries and both shared dreams of national liberation. They met by chance in Paris (France) in 1946, where they discussed each nation’s journey to its freedom, in a very friendly manner.
Following the signing ceremony, the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute will deliver to the Vietnamese counterparts, an online virtual tour of David Ben-Gurion’s retirement home in Sde Boker, Israel.
