Helping the community we live in! Embassy of Israel in
Vietnam donates 100 wheelchairs to children with disabilities
(Hanoi, 20/6/2017) This June, 100 wheelchairs will be donated by Embassy of Israel
to children with disabilities from different provinces in Vietnam. The
wheelchairs are specifically designed for children by Wheelchairs of Hope, an
Israeli social
Impact enterprise. Embassy of
Israel in Vietnam decided to use the fund allocated for celebration of its
Independence Day to assist the community we live in.
With suggestion of National Committee of People with disability,
the wheelchairs will be given to children with disabilities of Viet Han
Orthopedic and functional rehabilitation center(in Quoc Oai, Hanoi, under
MOLISA), HCMC Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Can Tho Orthopedic and
Rehabilitation Center, Ben Tre DOLISA and Ha Giang Children Protection Fund.
Today at Viet Han Orthopedic and functional rehabilitation
center, 20 children with disabilities and their family are very happy to
receive these wheelchairs of hope from Embassy of Israel, also with the
presence of National Committee of People with disability.
Ms. Meirav Eilon Shahar, Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam said "
We believe that all children are equal. Those with disabilities deserve every
chance to achieve equality and we can do this by narrowing the gaps and
giving them greater opportunities, building the future by standing
together and including everyone."
Similar hand-over ceremonies will take place in HCMC, Ben Tre
and Can Tho on 28th and 29th of June.
