The training on Aquaculture

  •   The training on Aquaculture
  •
On August 5th 2013, the opening session of the training on Aquaculture was held at College of Fisheries, Tu Son, Bac Ninh with participants of research institutes, centers and universities relating to agriculture and aquaculture in the North of Vietnam. Two experts from Israel, Dr. Itzhak Bejerano and Ahikam Gissis, M,A,  are the main trainers of the course. The course is the next step of cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries in the field of aquaculture after the visit of Minister Cao Duc Phat to Israel in 2012.

Israel is a country whose area of desert comprises 2/3 of the total land, but interestingly, aquaculture is the most thriving in the desert. The lack of agricultural land and limited water resources has prompted Israel to develop advanced technology in the aquaculture industry. This course will provide the knowledge and the experience of Israel to the fishery sector in Vietnam and hopefully, with its strong potentials, Vietnam will improve the quality and value of its aquaculture products.

After the course in Bac Ninh, a similar course will be held at High-tech Agriculture Park, Ho Chi Minh City from 12 to 16/08/2013.
