Israel Deputy Minister visit Vietnam

     H.E. Tzipi Hotovely- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel to Vietnam will pay an official visit to Vietnam between 23 and 25th August 2015.

    The first visit of Deputy Minister Tzipi Hotovely to South East Asia since she was appointed is further evidence of Israel's commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship with Viet Nam.
     
    22 years after diplomatic relations were established, the friendship and cooperation have grown and expanded to various fields such as agriculture, defense, science and technology, education & training.
     
    During her visit in Hanoi, Ms. Hotovely will be received by Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and her Vietnamese counterpart Vu Hong Nam. She will also convene with Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan and leader of the National Assembly to review progress in the bilateral relationship, as well to discuss common interests in regional and multilateral fora.
    Ms. Hotovely has been a Member of Knesset since February 2009, serving among others as Chair of the Committee on the Status of Women, as well as being an active lobbyist. In March 2013 she was appointed Deputy Minister of Transportation, National Infrastructures and Road Safety and in December 2014, also Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Space, serving until May 2015. In May 2015 Hotovely was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
