    In the morning of March 20, the red-carpet reception of Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse was held at the Presidential Palace. After the reception, State President Tran Dai Quang held talks with the Israeli President.
    President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse are on a state visit to Vietnam from 19 to 25 March at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang.

    In the afternoon of March 19, Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin and his spouse arrived in Hanoi. Accompanying the Israeli president are Director General of the President's Office, Harel Tubi; Senior Foreign Affairs Advisor to the President, David Saranga; Military Adviser to the President, Boaz Hershkovitz; Chief of Staff to the President, Rivka Ravitz; Senior Advisor to the President, Mira Ratzabi; and Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Meirav Eilon Shahar, among others.

    The visit aims to strengthen the relations between Israel and Vietnam, exchange measures to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields and exchanges on regional and international issues. 

    A business delegation from 27 Israeli companies will accompany the Israeli president during the visit. The delegation includes founders and CEOs of top Israeli businesses in six areas including agriculture, cyber security, water solutions, education, energy and health.

    The delegation will attend the Vietnam-Israel Business Forum jointly held by the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, specialized seminars, corporate meetings and site visits will also be held during the visit. This is an opportunity for Israeli businesses to explore the Vietnamese market, meet the local business community to introduce their most advanced technologies and products, and seek feasible cooperation opportunities. A number of important MoUs among leading Israeli companies and leading Vietnamese companies are expected to be signed.

    Israeli-Vietnamese defense cooperation is gradually developing with great progress. On this occasion, there is also a delegation of leading Israeli defense companies, led by Mishel Ben-Baruch, Director of SIBAT, Defense Cooperation Agency, Israeli Defense Ministry .

    Israeli companies will participate in the Industry and Defense Forum organized by SIBAT and the General Department of Defense Industry (GDDI) of Vietnamese Ministry of Defense. This forum will have the participation of Israeli President and General Ngo Xuan Lich. , M​inister of Defense of Vietnam. The President and the Minister will visit defense companies' booths.

    Another area of strong cooperation between the two countries is the Search and Rescue (SAR). During the Presidential visit, a professional seminar will be held in Hanoi with the participation of IDF officers as well as search and rescue agency staff from Defense Ministry. Within the framework of SIBAT, the workshop will allow both parties to cooperate and share their expertise in search and rescue activities, with special focus on disaster relief missions.
