Aharon Barnea is currently the senior correspondent and anchorman for Israel's Channel 2 TV News in the US, residing in Washington DC. Before his assignment in Washington he was the anchorman of the flagship of Israel's TV news programs - "Friday Studio" on Ch. 2. Prior to anchoring this show he served as Ch.2 News correspondent and commentator on Arab Affairs. He was also the head of the Middle East Affairs desk and correspondent on Arab Affairs on Israel Radio. Aharon Barnea was the first press attaché of the Israeli embassy in Cairo, and served as main advisor to President Ezer Weizman of Israel. His book "Mine Enemy" on a very special relationship between Israelis, Palestinians and the Hashemite Royal court in Jordan has been a best-seller in Israel and was translated and published in the US, England, Germany and the Arab world. He has published many articles on Middle Eastern affairs and the Israeli - Arab conflict in many Israeli as well as American and European newspapers and magazines. Aharon Barnea has been lecturing extensively on Israel and the Arab world all over the US and Canada for many Jewish and non- Jewish organizations.
