    Delivery of material by mail

Delivery of material by mail to the Consular Department at the representation will be sent and collected exclusively to and from the following address:

Embassy of the State of Israel
    Consular department
    Alpenstrasse 32
    3006 Bern

Passports must be sent to the consular section by registered mail. The consular section sends passports and documents by registered mail only. As a result, the applicant must provide an envelope addressed and stamped with a stamp corresponding to the delivery of registered mail. The responsibility for the delivery of the material by mail is on the sender alone.

** Due to problems with mail delivery and currency conversions, citizens of France or Germany are asked to send by mail applications for visas and passports directly to the embassy in Paris or Berlin!

It is important to emphasize that there are cases in which there is an obligation to appear in person. More detailed information can be found in Chapter 2, Consular Services.

    Payment of the fee

    · Consular services performed face to face at the embassy can be paid on spot using a credit card (not including American Express or a debit card from the Post Bank).

The fee for applications of Consular services sent to the consular department by mail must be paid in advance by bank transfer only. The receipt for the payment of the fee or a copy must be attached to the application.

Do not use money transfers or cash in the mail!
