"Asylum" which will be the first world premiere at MODAFE, is autobiographical story of Rami, and unravels the sense of confusion, identity and alienation that he experienced as a member of a surviving Jewish family during the Holocaust.
"It's about places where you can rest, refugees looking for shelter of mind, and people and spaces who want to belong somewhere, and people who want to be included," "I wanted to address topics that are empathic with all humans, regardless of nationality, gender, and so on," said Rami Be’er.
