The Embassy of Israel in Cyprus and the Cyprus Ministry of Education co-organized, on Monday, 19 November, 2018, a much enlightening workshop for high school educators on “Teaching the Shoah Age-appropriately – The Biographical Approach”
The workshop was led by Dr Noa Mkayton, Deputy Director of the European Department of Yad Vashem's International School of Holocaust Studies
"The aim of the educator is to prepare a positive learning attitude for the Holocaust and to provide students with a set of tools for them to deal with this topic. Holocaust education for young students should not be not through numbers and statistics, but through personal stories," Dr Mkayton stressed.
