Dear friends,
I would like to welcome you
to the website of the Embassy of Israel in Cyprus. I was appointed as
Ambassador of the State of Israel in August 2021 and I am deeply honored to be
given this unique opportunity to serve my country.
During my diplomatic career
that stretches almost three decades, I have proudly represented Israel in three
continents. The physical and emotional proximity between Israel and Cyprus
makes me feel ‘at home away from home’ on this beautiful island.
The relations between our two
countries are close, friendly and multi-faceted. In recent years, these have
been improving, expanding to new fields, and becoming more and more important
for both sides. The friendship between our nations is built on mutual values and
interests. These bonds are rooted in the days prior to the establishment of the
two states.
Being the tallest diplomat in
the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I have a natural tendency for reaching
‘new heights’. I will do my outmost to ensure that the links between our two
nations become even closer and stronger.
Always open to hearing from
you.
Best regards,
Oren Anolik
