President Anastasiades visited Israel

    ​The ​President of Cyprus Mr Nicos Anastasiades paid an official visit to Israel on Wednesday, 09 November 2022.

    During his visit, President Anastasiades met with the President of Israel Mr Isaac Herzog, as well as with the opposition leader Mr Benjamin Netanyahu. 

    President Herzog bestowed the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor on Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, at his official residence in Jerusalem, thanking Anastasiades for being a true friend of Israel.

    "Recognizing his true friendship with Israel and role in establishing the trilateral Israel-Cyprus-Greece alliance, an anchor of stability in the Mediterranean⁠, today I awarded the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor to my friend President Anastasiades of Cyprus," President Herzog stressed
