A moving ceremony took place on November 15, 2018, at the British Military Hospital (BMH) in Nicosia, which was the place of birth for many of the 2,200 children who were born to parents held in the camps in the late 1940s.
Many of those born in the camps, the last stop of their parents who were Jewish Holocaust survivors 70 years ago, participated in the ceremony.
"We honored the people of Cyprus who opened their hearts to assist them," Ambassador Revel said.
