This is a programme of social and personal guidance which connects primary school children from underprivileged families with university students.
It gives children the opportunity to build a positive, empowering, stable and supportiverelationship with a student, who serves as a role model, friend and mentor, helps children with their school study, and promotes self-confidence. This programme gives the children involved the opportunity to have in their lives, for one academic year (at a frequency of two, two-hour meetings a week), a positive and supportive relationship that will lead them to unfold their abilities and talents.
On the 11th of April 2016, 6pm (Monday), The University of Nicosia, in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel in Cyprus, will launch the opening of the programme at the UNESCO Amphitheatre at the University of Nicosia.
