On Tuesday, June 22, 2022, a ceremony was held for the inauguration of "Israel Park" picnic area, at Troulloi community in Larnaca District, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr. Costas Kadis, the President of the Parliament, Ms. Annita Demetriou and the Ambassador of Israel to Cyprus, Mr. Oren Anolik.

This is an initiative of the Embassy of Israel, which it funded with €35,000, and which was warmly embraced by the Department of Forests (Ministry of Agriculture). Part of the costs were also covered by the Department of Forests and the community of Troulloi.

The beautiful park offers locals and visitors a space for relaxation and fun activities in the clean air of the forest, while it also has significant ecological importance. The 5.000 m2 picnic area provides various facilities to visitors such as toilets, shelter, drinking water, picnic tables and barbecue area. The space is also accessible to people with disabilities.

Such wonderful initiatives confirm that cooperation between Israel and Cyprus is diverse and multifaceted.
