    ​The Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Sammy Revel, presented today his credentials​ to the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, at a formal ceremony at the Presidential Palace. 

    Presenting his credentials, Ambassador Revel thanked the President for his warm welcome, noting that he was greatly moved by the welcome and the ceremony, and expressed Israel’s sincere appreciation for President Anastasiades' contribution to the building of the strong relations between Cyprus and Israel.

    “The geographical proximity between Israel and Cyprus is coupled by shared values, true people to people relation and close cultural ties,” said Ambassador Revel. “As Ambassador of Israel to the Republic of Cyprus," he added, "solidifying the strategic partnership between our countries and achieving a new level of friendship between our nations will be my highest priority”.
