Ambassador Revel met today with members of the Cyprus Youth Diplomacy in the context of "The Ambassador Series" initiative.
The delegation from Cyprus Youth Diplomacy and the Ambassador touched upon a number of issues including energy, public diplomacy and the role of the youth in enhancing bilateral relations.
The Ambassador stressed how close Israel and Cyprus are culturally, and talked about the relationship between the two countries.
"The beating heart of Israel-Cyprus relationship dates back to 1946-1949, when more than 50.000 Holocaust Survivors ended up in camps in Cyprus, with many Cypriots helping them through that difficult time," Ambassador Revel said.
