Green activities for “Green Standard” project

    ​In the framework of the “Green Standard” project established by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the aim to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable practices, the Embassy of Israel in Nicosia has launched a series of green activities.

    In this context, the Embassy’s staff and administration underwent a training on ways to improve environmental performance.

    In his opening remarks Ambassador Oren Anolik underlined the commitment of the MFA in actively promoting environmental issues and sustainability, and asked everyone to engage and make the extra effort in the strive for a balanced conduct in terms of the environmental impact.

    Michael Ierides from CYMEPA introduced the participants to the negative environmental effects of plastic and the importance of recycling. “There is no Plan B, because there is no Planet B”, he emphasized.
