    Since August 2022​ Yuval Donio-Gideon serves Consul for Public Diplomacy at the Consulate General of Israel in New York. With a distinguished military career of six years in the Israel Defence Forces, as well as holding a BA (Hons) in Psychology/Political Science and an a MA (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Haifa, Yuval began his tenure in the Diplomatic Cadet Course of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel in 2006. 

     

    The decision to pursue a life of service, has lead Yuval to some incredible destinations, with diverse and important positions. His experiences began in 2007 as the Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Ethiopia, Rwanda and Burundi, before being assigned to the position of Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Finland and Estonia in 2008. In 2013, Yuval returned to headquarters and was a critical member of the Congress Relations Department in the North America Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2016 until 2022, Yuval was the Ministry’s Representative to the Planning Directorate of Israel Defence Forces.​
