The New Media department at the Consulate General of Israel is responsible for projecting the New York consulate's activities into the online space, pushing out relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs content through our local channels, producing and distributing locally-produced content, and building networks of organizations and individuals to assist in this effort.
Major elements of our activities include coordinating a regular roundtable and training session for pro-Israeli social media professionals -- an activity that has global impact -- as well as maintaining the Consulate's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram accounts; building viral-ready video campaigns, often in partnership with like-minded NGOs; and having our Director of New Media train and lecture across the United States, both at other missions and at partner organizations.
