For the past three years, about 1,500 Jews from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have immigrated to Israel, according to Nefesh B’Nefesh, a nonprofit organization that helps new immigrants settle in the country. It’s an increase from 2004, when only 441 immigrants from the region made the move. According to Ido Aharoni, Israel’s Consul General in New York, Israel’s economy has a lot to offer Americans.
