Nothing says summer like beach season. Whether you're driving to the Jersey Shore or taking in the rays in the Caribbean, this is the time of year to unwind, read a book, and listen to the sounds of crashing waves.

When picking the perfect vacation spot, usually you have to choose between a place with perfect beaches for lounging or big metropolises with high end restaurants and nightlife. For Tel Aviv and other "beach cities," those aren't mutually exclusive.

National Geographic just released a list of the "Top 10 Beach Cities" in the world, and to no one's surprise, Tel Aviv was ranked among the best of them, calling it "Miami Beach on the Med."
