description: The
Director of Print and Online Media will be responsible for the Consulate's
relationship with various media outlets across NY. Tasks will fall under the
Media Department’s goals of monitoring and promoting news.
Media Department key responsibilities:
·
Analyzing media trends and news, and mapping
out findings
·
Establishing and maintaining contact with
reporters and anchors
·
Monitoring international news and local news,
with a focus on the Middle East
·
Generating content for press
·
Coordinating Media events
·
Setting interviews with Israeli officials and
experts
·
Organizing briefings for media
outlets
·
Preparing press releases and distributing
materials for publications
·
Promoting the Consulate’s events
·
Attending media events
·
Updating media database
·
Identifying creative media ideas and
opportunities
·
Writing reports and presentations on key
topics explaining media coverage landscape
Directors’ responsibilities:
·
Reaching out to national and local broadcast television,
radio, podcast, print and online outlets
·
Building relationships with existing and new national
and local media outlets
·
Regularly updating Spokesperson on domestic
news
·
Coordinating and reaching out to diverse
broadcast outlets
·
Keeping in contact with professional
journalism organizations
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor's degree
·
Knowledgeable about American and Israeli
media outlets and trends
·
Excellent communication, teamwork, and
relationship-building skills
·
Strong planning and organizational skills
·
At least two years of experience, or
equivalent professional background
·
Understanding of the Consulate’s jurisdictive
states (NY, NJ, OH, DE, PA) is a plus
