Digital Diplomacy Intern (unpaid):
New York, NYThe Digital Diplomacy intern
is responsible for helping to develop and implement the organization’s social
media strategy, presence, program, and engagements. This intern will think
along with the Director of Digital Diplomacy to achieve the organization’s
digital goals, particularly by working with partner organizations and social
media influencers. The intern will work closely with colleagues throughout the
organization to strategically integrate social media in certain activities of
the organization and is expected to be involved in reactive as well as
proactive initiatives.
Major Responsibilities
· Strategically generate excellent content, collaboratively creating new
ideas and campaigns especially with like-minded partners, and measuring how
effective those ideas are using web analytic tools.
· Develop, manage and implement a proactive social media strategy.
· Assist with filming and editing
videos for social media campaigns.
· Maintain
the organization’s website.
· Cover
the organization’s events for social media purposes.
· Generate
a social media schedule
· Create
Instagram stories
Skills
and Experience
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
with a demonstrated ability to shape the story
and manage the message.
· In-depth knowledge and understanding of social
media platforms.
· Knowledge and experience in design
(Photoshop/Canva/BeFunky/etc).
· Creativity, strategic thinking and proven
experience developing and executing original ideas.
· Able to excel in a fast-paced environment with
changing priorities.
· Proven collaboration skills and team spirit.
· Knowledge of issues facing America and Israel.
Requirements
· 3-6 month commitment.
· At least one
day physically in the office
